We are currently seeking applicants for the following position(s):

Controls Engineer / Systems Specialist -  Huntsville / Madison, AL area

This position offers an opportunity for a challenging and rewarding career in Industrial Controls engineering.  The successful candidate must have a positive, aggressive, self-motivated personality with good “people skills”.  The ability to interface on a technical level with other professionals is required.  We offer a small-company environment in which you will work with other highly-experienced engineers, providing an excellent opportunity for learning and advancement.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, programming and commissioning of industrial process control systems is required.  B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, but not required.

Duties of this position include design of schematic diagrams and control panel layout drawings based on scope provided by project manager, using company standards.  The applicant should have prior experience using AutoCAD drafting software in the design of industrial controls systems.

Additionally, this position must be able to program industrial control systems.  The applicant must have prior experience in design and development of PLC and HMI programs, specifically in the following:

-  Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500 and RSLogix 5000 programming

-  Allen-Bradley FTViewME PanelView software development

-  Either Allen-Bradley FTViewSE  or  GE/Fanuc’s iFix SCADA development software

-  Siemens S7 Pro programming software (not required, but a plus)

The candidate must be highly computer-literate and adept with all Microsoft Office components.  Experience in MSAccess and MSSql database packages, and/or development of Visual Basic applications will be a plus.  Strong technical writing skills will also be a plus for this position.

This position requires significant time spent outside the office working at our client’s industrial facilities, primarily in the North Alabama region.  Applicant must be physically able to spend significant amounts of time standing, bending and climbing stairwells, must have good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors.  Some travel, long hours and weekend work will be required on a periodic basis.
